Hi! And welcome to a part of me, and now you.

Writing is cathartic and has been a favorite pass time of mine for many many years. In fact, the first poem I ever penned was about my Mom; I was 8yrs
old.

Adam and I hung out with the same group of friends for the better part of 3 years in our early 20’s. We have since reconnected and share the same passion to “give back”. I am drawn and impressed by Adam’s Wedding Dress for the obvious reasons. I did, however, notice the voice of a Single Parent is
missing. I am honored that Adam has asked me to be that voice, for you, for me, and Adam’s Wedding Dress.

“Where am I going to go? How will I provide for my baby, for me? Who will take care of my baby when I’m working? How will I raise a healthy, thriving
child in two homes? This is so unfair! Unfair to my child; she has no choice no voice in this matter and because of my leaving will she grow up in a
dysfunctional family?” Divorce is so foreign to me! Will anyone ever find me appealing, again? These and many other overwhelming thoughts lived right
along side the crib and the single bed I shared with my baby in a friend’s housekeeper’s room for 2 months.

I have been divorced for 5 years and the first 3 I raised my baby girl alone. She is now 6yrs old, in first grade and has an incredible father; her biological father. I am no expert. I do not hold a PHD, MB, and BA in child physcology or parenting! However, based on my experience as a single
full-time working parent and co-parent for the past 6 years give me a voice; a strong voice; a raw voice; a happy voice; a scared voice, a perturbed
voice; a faithful voice! All in all an empathetic voice to share.

This and many other stories, thoughts, experiences positive and negative, thought provoking ideas and issues I will share with you. YOU the thriving
Single Parent!
